2025 Q3 R.E.P.O.R.T.

q3 2025 r.e.p.o.r.t. apples

Monthly reports? Hardly remember those.

^^^ Remember that joke? It was in my last R.E.P.O.R.T – in Q3 of 2024 (yikes). Seriously – how was that a year ago? Anyways – we are so back.

Reading

I have a few books I’m working through right now – I’m listening to Never Split the Difference on my walks, and physically reading The Cliffs. Very different vibes, I’m a little further into NSTD, and I’m finding it very interesting. The point of the book is to negotiate like your life depends on it. The author’s background is in the FBI, and he’s worked with the top negotiators at Harvard and has the craziest stories I’ve ever heard – they almost sound more like fiction than the ones in my fiction book. I’m reading this, of course, in the hopes of becoming a better negotiator.

Eating

It’s fall, y’all.

I have always been pro-pumpkin spice. And surprising to no one, I’ve jumped right back in it with pumpkin bread, pumpkin lattes, pumpkin soup, and my favorite so far…? Pumpkin pasta sauce. Yep – head to your nearest Trader Joe’s because it is next level.

That being said, I’ve found myself really leaning into the Spiced Apple theme this year. Stewed apples are so good – especially with a little yogurt for a really easy breakfast. The best part, though, is adding a bit of the liquid from the apples to chai tea with some steamed milk. You don’t wanna miss that one.

Playing

I’ve done a thing or two since my last R.E.P.O.R.T. – including my trip to Zion, which was a dream come true. I visited NYC with my mom, I added 4 states (leaving only 7 left to visit before 30), and a lot of local exploring. Most recently, I saw the Red Clay Strays in Lubbock (incredible concert), and went on a tour at the TX Whiskey Ranch, which was one of the coolest experiences I’ve had in a minute.

Obsession

Prospecting and making connections. There have been some growing pains in the new sales role, but I’ve really enjoyed the chase. I love keeping my ear to the ground for new opportunities and have really loved getting to know the people behind some of my favorite brands.

Recommendation

In my previous blog about Adult Friendships, I referenced Mel Robbins’ Let Them. It is so good. At the beginning stages, it seems super elementary and what you typically cover in the first 5 minutes of therapy. However, as the book progresses, she covers so many obstacles that were way too relevant. It was a great reminder that no struggle is original and so many people are trying to navigate the same things, and honestly, it forced me to take a good look in the mirror. A must-read.

Treating

Aside from all things fall, my go-to treat has been the twist cone from Braum’s. Is it really a treat if it’s frozen yogurt? No. The treat is that it only costs $1.60 and is a 3-minute drive from my apartment.
