If there’s anything I’ve learned in the last six months of quarantine, it’s that there is no time to kill. Or maybe that was Clint Black?
As I approach year 23, I decided to list all things I want to complete before turning 30. What better way to be held accountable than posting it on the internet for everyone to see?
Footloose and fancy-free, these are the 30 things I want to do before turning 30.
- Visit all 50 states
- Take a cooking class
Buy a French bulldog- Kentucky Derby… and if I’m lucky, wear the most obnoxious hat
- Backpack across Europe
Sew a quilt- Halloween in Salem
- Run a 10k
- Attend a musical on Broadway
- Write 150 blog posts
Take my grandma kayaking- Pay off my car
- Buy a house

- Spend more time with family
Get involved with a cause- St. Paddy’s Day in Ireland
Take a spontaneous road trip- Oktoberfest in Germany

If you know me well, you were probably hoping to read that I was planning to cut down on the dad jokes, or maybe quit singing in the car…. instead, I want to focus on traveling. I want to set goals that allow me to see the world and learn lifelong skills. With a little over 7 years to do so, I hope to grow from each experience; and maybe I’ll throw in some voice lessons to make my singing in the car a little more worthwhile.
