There are jobs on jobs on jobs out there and if you don't think where you're at is a good fit, try something else.
One of my favorite service industry roles I think everyone should experience, is working as a server in a restaurant. Servers learn to balance the needs of customers, workings of the restaurant, and communication with the kitchen and bar. They learn an absurd amount of information regarding food allergies (what exactly is gluten??), how food is prepared, and most importantly, how to work with various types of people.
We have a ton of waste (literally, tons) and I'm not just talking about plastic straws or cups. I'm talking about old furniture, holiday decorations and countless other things that are thrown away on a daily basis. Once we get to the point of cleaning/de-cluttering, the only solutions are the landfill, recycling, reusing and composting, but the question is... How did we get here? Why is there so much waste?
