Twenty-fun.
Feelin twenty-two.
Jordan year.
Twenty-four.
Twenty-thrive.
Twenty-six… pick up sticks?

We’ve reached season 6 of the twenties. Here’s a recap of the previous season, twenty-thrive.

Twenty-Thrive (25)

Twenty-thrive was a year of reflection, purging, humility and most importantly, healing. I reflected on the dynamics of relationships in my life; professional, romantic, family, and self. Difficult conversations and situations required me to take a step back and reassess my values. Honestly, there wasn’t much thriving in the latest season, but a lot of destruction.

So in summary, twenty-five was the year I demolished old, inherited beliefs of myself and society at large. Of course I did have some fun along the way.

Twenty-Six (26)

Twenty-six I’m here to piece everything together, with fresh eyes on what life means to me and what I hope to accomplish in my time here. So yeah, 26, pick up sticks.

The clock struck midnight Sunday morning in a New York minute – no, literally. I went to visit one of my friends in the big city and had one of the best times I’ve had in a long time. The food, drinks, markets, and vibes were seriously unmatched. I received princess treatment at majority of the places we went to (which went right to my head).

New York is so fascinating because no matter how many times you go to an area, or even a street, you always see something new. My favorite thing, however, were these critters painted on the sidewalk. I could not get enough of them. They’re far better than the real rats that run the street.

Life moves fast. I always hoped people were being dramatic when they said that, but I’ve officially entered the later half of my twenties, I’ve lived in South Carolina for 3 years, Phoebe is four, only 4 years left on the 30 before 30 list… what happened? I think I blinked twice in that time. The pandemic skip didn’t help.

I don’t know what 26 has in store for me, but I do know I’m going to make incredible memories with people in my life, celebrating their major milestones, probably buying more plants, and continuing to geek out on wellness and personal development.

Cheers.
