What are the best places to take Instagrammable pictures in Missoula, MT?
- Missoula from Mount Sentinel
- Big Dipper
- Veera Donuts
- Brennan’s Wave
- Highlander Igloos
- Garden of 1000 Buddhas
The View from Mount Sentinel
The view from Mount Sentinel, or better known as “The M”, is probably the most iconic Instagram hotspots in Missoula. It’s also the only one that has bragging rights.
You haven’t seen Missoula until you’ve seen Missoula from atop Mt. Sentinel.

Big Dipper
Big Dipper | 631 S Higgins Ave
Oh boy! What’s more Instagrammable than a sugar cone? A waffle cone.

Veera Donuts
Veera Donuts | 617 S Higgins Ave #2
Speaking of sweets… Veera Donuts is another stop on the Instagram trail. Not only are the vegan donuts beautiful on their own, but the mural outside is also worth checking out. It’s like Kurt Cobain meets donuts meets Montana meets sprinkles.
I wish I could eat your cancer away, but I’d prefer a vegan donut.

Brennan’s Wave
The only thing weird about people surfing a man-made wave in the Clark Fork River is if you don’t see anyone surfing when you’re there. Brennan’s Wave sits in downtown Missoula, right next to Cara’s Park, and is sure to add an unconventional twist to your Instagram profile.

The Igloos the Highlander
Highlander Brewing Co | 200 International Dr
As mentioned in The Best Patios In Missoula, Highlander Brewing has one of the coolest winter patios, therefore it comes as no surprise that they qualify as one of the most Instagrammable spots in Missoula.

Garden of 1000 Buddhas
Garden of 1000 Buddhas | 34574 White Coyote Rd
A little off the beaten path, is the Garden of 1000 Buddhas located on the Flathead Indian Reservation in Arlee. If you’re up for a short (but beautiful) drive along the Mission Mountains then the garden is worth it for a rare, Instagrammable Buddha in the Missions, shot.
